This post may be underwhelming.
I am a bundle of excited/anxious/nervous energy and I am not going to say anything of real quality in this post haha please don’t unsubscribe. But feel free to skim over this one and come back on a later date.
Items I will cover:
- Condo update
- Portfolio milestone
- Two travels: Baltimore & Ohio
Condo Update
Our condo has not sold yet. We have had two showings, but none fell in love. Shoot!
This is where my haywire energies are stemming from. Once we have an offer with a close date listed, we can start making plans and moves and really make progress toward calibrating our life in alignment to the life we are picturing for ourselves! But until then….we wait….we go to work…..we wait….we keep cleaning the condo over and over again to be ready for open houses ha….
Portfolio Milestone
This past week we officially passed:
$500,000
That puts us at 33% of our financial independence number – one third of the way there!
We ended last year just shy of $400k. It’s been a quick $100k climb in only 6 months.
Thanks stock market!
Two Travels
Baltimore
At the beginning of May, we flew out to Baltimore to tour apartments and check out a couple of neighborhoods that we are interesting in living in! For all of the times we have traveled out to Baltimore, this was the most structured trip, and that made it…kind of stressful. And yes, I did mix up the tour times for two of the places and had to deal with that awkward situation.
But overall, we enjoyed two sublime pizza experiences – and found the neighborhood that we will soon be able to call home!

Ohio
In Minnesota, we have an amusement park, Valleyfair.
Valleyfair is owned by Cedar Fair.
Cedar Fair also owns two parks in Ohio: King’s Island and Cedar Point.
According to my research, those two parks are rumored to a be coaster-head’s dreamscape. Cedar Point in particular.
I, along with a friend, purchased season passes that could be used at ALL Cedar Fair parks, packed up the Prius, and took a week to drive out to Ohio and spend two days at each of the parks.
The rollercoasters were incredible. It was an absolute blast! And you will likely be reading about more amusement park travels in my future, because this beast has officially been unleashed.
Those are the updates I have for you today! Thank you for sticking with me while we await the start of an enormous life transition! See you next time!
